Arrieta Lanzarote
Situated in the far North of Lanzarote & the Canary islands, within the Municipal district of Haria.
30Km from the island capital: Arrecife (ACE)
Airport journey: 35-40 minutes.
Arguably Haria is the most beautiful region on the Island, with stunning views and some the islands most incredible attractions including:
Mirador Del Rio and Jameos del Agua.
Arrieta village has remained virtually untouched by mainstream tourism, thanks to the fact that many Lanzarote guidebooks do not tend to concentrate on mentioning the area. There has been a slightly increased interest in Lanzarote by the more discerning traveler in recent times, and so Arrieta is getting a little more positive attention.
Arrieta at a glance: A traditional, local feel destination with a lazy cool vibe. The la Garita beach is safe for all ages throughout most of the year, and throughout the village area you will find many of the finest local low-key restaurants, serving good local cuisine.
What to expect: A stroll around Arrieta village offers the independent traveler a good opportunity to shop for local produce and crafts, take advantage of the stunning rural Lanzarote beachside views, and to experience the real Lanzarote
Top Tip: Take a quick look at Casa Juanita, when you are visiting Arrieta village for a perfect photo moment. This small curious house is locally known as "The blue house", built in the 1970's by a Lanzaroteño who dedicated the design to his wife. The dolls house is situated alongside an equally tiny beach, and can be perfectly spotted from the popular local fish restaurant El Chacon.
