La Palma is the 5th of the 7 main Islands and lies in the north west of the Canary Island group. Although La Palma does not guarantee sunshine, the climate is often warm and sunny. However, this is not a destination which should be relied on for lazy days on the beach, but rather a pleasant stroll around the traditional villages, walks, bike rides and outings to the beautiful and scenic areas which are in abundance throughout the entire island.
The local people in La Palma do not rely heavily on tourism within their economy, this is a low impact destination,ideal for:

Many guided treks are linear and you are able to be transported to the beginning of the route and collected at the end. Many walks have some uphill sections, but usually you can choose a descending or contour path. On average distances vary with walking times of between 3 – 7 hours.
A guided walk or hike can range from Moderate to Challenging and will enable you to enjoy the island’s superb landscapes fully. This is a brilliant and highly recommended way to spend at least one of your days! You are likely to be part of a cosmopolitan group of people and will be guided by a experienced islanders.
