Puerto Calero Marina & Resort

Airport Journey: Arrecife, 15 minutes by car.

Nearest beach:  There are no local sandy beaches, but the rocky bay in Puerto Calero located beside the Marina has a set of steps leading into the sea. This area is safe for a quick dip or for those who enjoy snorkeling.

The nearest sandy beach is in Puerto del Carmen (five minute car journey). For a great family day out we recommend visitors to take a boat trip from the Marina, and head to the lovely natural Papagayo beaches on the southern tip of Lanzarote.

Local Activities:  Puerto Calero is an extremely popular area for boat trips and water based excursions including Catamaran & Yacht sailing, Submarine Safaris, and Deep sea fishing.

General InformationIn 1983 José Calero started to build his dream, a luxury marina here in Lanzarote. The project took around 4 years to construct, and finally opened in 1989. It was almost 10 years later that the marina well and truly began to take shape though. Doubling in size, and with a recently added super berth section, José’s dream Marina now welcomes some of the world’s greatest super yachts.

Begin exploring the real Lanzarote vibe including Haria and Teguise village. Plus there are a number of Cesar Manrique attractions to visit.

Local Shopping: The Puerto Calero marina contains a handful of Boutique shops which mainly offer a selection of designer brand clothing.

There is a local cash point, plus a small supermarket for convenience. We recommend visitors to travel out to use the larger supermarkets, either in Tias or within the neighbouring resort area of Puerto Del Carmen, where you will also find a number of pharmacies and more mainstream shopping facilities.

Eating out: International restaurants are plentiful throughout the Puerto Calero marina,

Resort Attractions: Puerto Calero is an attraction in itself, with a wonderful array of boutique shops, fine dining, and cool vibe bars to sit and watch the world go by. There is also a museum beside the port (Canarian Cetacean Museum), offering visitors the chance to view the result of more than 20 years worth of research into the Canary Island marine life.
